What is inside CostaSea

We believe you should know exactly what you are putting on your skin. CostaSea is a broad-spectrum SPF 50 mineral sunscreen built on one powerful, ocean-friendly active and a base of nourishing botanicals.

Active ingredient

Zinc Oxide 17.5% (non-nano). Zinc oxide is a mineral UV filter that sits on top of the skin and reflects both UVA and UVB rays. Non-nano means the particles are large enough that they are not absorbed into the skin or easily taken up by marine life.

Nourishing botanicals

Beyond sun protection, CostaSea is formulated with skin-loving plant ingredients including aloe vera, shea butter, coconut oil, avocado oil, mango seed butter, safflower seed oil, cucumber, carrot seed, pomegranate, blueberry extract, and vitamin E (tocopherol).

What we leave out — and why

• Oxybenzone & octinoxate — chemical UV filters linked to coral reef damage. Never in CostaSea.
• Parabens & sulfates — common irritants we skip for gentler, cleaner protection.
• Synthetic fragrances — left out to keep the formula friendly for sensitive skin.

CostaSea is also vegan and cruelty-free.
